I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dana Wachter. From the very beginning, Dana has shown such incredible kindness, patience, and understanding. She has an amazing ability to connect with a child in a way that makes them feel comfortable, understood, and never defined by their tics. What I am most grateful for is the way Dana has helped my child truly understand his tics and feel more confident in managing them. She has given him practical CBIT techniques and "superpowers" that he can use when his tics are bothering him, while always approaching everything with compassion and without ever making him feel like there is something wrong with him. As a parent, watching your child struggle with something they don't fully understand can be incredibly difficult. Having Dana in our corner has made such a difference. She has not only given my child tools to help with his tics, but has helped him better understand himself and feel empowered rather than embarrassed or frustrated. I was referred to Dana by a neighborhood friend whose daughter was doing bunny nose tics , she told me that in a few short sections Dana has worked miracles. At this time, my young son, third grade, was also experiencing anxiety tics like so many kids today do. We were so lucky to find Dana and be even luckier to live in an area that she could visit us in our Home. She is lovely to work with, and really produced results. From the tricks and exercises that she is able to teach, the warm stories of other kids with tics that have grown up to live normal lives, and the friendly open way that she speaks to children, she was a blessing for us. Dana was able to very quickly help my son, and then she said to call her whenever we need her, which we did over the years, when he would revert back - through talking with her, he would be fine again. If your child is suffering I highly recommend that you call her ASAP
